We started out with cola vending.
Patti and I paid WAY too much for 5 wall mounted cola vendors that we bought from a business opportunity show. Eventually we turned our business around and made good money. Cola vending was always the easiest and most consistent part of our vending business.
The only other major mistake we made was when we tried to put "no name" colas into our machines. That was a failed experiment. Your customers want what they know, even if the alternative is cheaper.
These days’ bottled water, juices and sport drinks are eating away at the cola market share. If you are starting out or expanding into cola vending make sure you set yourself up for the future trends.

I wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the information in your book. It was very helpful and easy to understand. I am just getting into vending and I almost bought one those "business opportunities" the only reason I didn't is because I refused to go into debt for something I did not have to. They would not sell me one machine they wanted to sell me at least 10 "so I would be profitable."

Its not profitable or smart to pay high interest rates.
The resources you gave where very helpful and I really appreciate you sharing your experience with me. I love to learn from other peoples mistakes so I can make new and inventive mistakes of my own :-) lol

Try to find people who can approve multiple locations when trying to place machines. Property management companies might respresent many apartment complexes. Some business owners have multiple locations. With one "yes" you can secure multiple profit centers.
