Trying to sell your vending machines can be disappointing.
Unfortunately, many vending machines are purchased by new vendors who attend a hyped up business opportunity seminar. These glossy presentations end up with new operators paying far too much for machines. This leads to an over supply of machines sitting in garages and basements. When these vendors try to recoup their costs they find they can only get 5-10 cents on the dollar. The best thing to do would be to try and place these machines on locations. A machine by itself is not of great value (unless an operated has a specific location and needs a specific machine tomorrow!). However, a machine on a good location is worth much more.
If you are trying to sell a vending machine consider trying to place it first, it will be of more value to the buyer.

Uncle Rob
My wife and I definitely think we received much more than $20 worth of
advice. You probably saved us more like $10000. We attended a biz-op expo
and were quite excited by one opportunity by an apparently well-known
company (with a claimed 4000 "distributors"). We decided to look into the
business and industry a bit more closely before attending a one-on-one the
following night, which would have had us spending $15000 for two combo
dispensers (and some "coaching").
It's amazing how much "information" is out there, most of it disagreeing
with every other source. Every vending manufacturer/rep has a different
story, 180 degrees out of phase with their competitors!
I could go on, but I'm sure you know better than me how the business
works. We still think it's a great business to get into given our
circumstances and will pay close attention to your guidelines.
Thanks again for the inside scoop!
Best regards,
Tom and Grace Russell

Don't limit your snack machines products to just snacks!
We did well with putting "other" products in based on taking a broader look at the location. For example, toothbrushes (hotel), laundry soap (trucking company), baseball cards (apartment complex), and other personal toiletries. Be creative!
