We started out in the soda vending business.

Paid way too much for 5 wall mounted soda vendors that we bought from a bizop show presentation (our first BIG mistake).

Eventually we turned our business around and made very respectable money. The soda vending business was the easiest and most reliable part of our vending business.

Another major mistake we made was when we tried to put "no name" soda into our machines. That was a failed experiment. Your customers want what they are familiar with, even if the alternative is cheaper.

These days bottled water, juices and sport drinks are eating away at the soda market share. If you are starting out or expanding into the soda vending business make sure you set yourself up for the future trends.

Today's Vending Business Tip Don't limit your snack machines products to just snacks! We did well with putting "other" products in based on taking a broader look at the location. For example, toothbrushes (hotel), laundry soap (trucking company), baseball cards (apartment complex), and other personal toiletries. Be creative!
