My wife and I started out in our vending business after attending a very slick presentation. We got a bank loan and overwhelmed the loan officer with our enthusiasm from all the dollars dancing in our head after attending a vending business seminar. Now, many years later, after learning the hard way and building a profitable vending business I realize just how much we didn't know. And how much more we should have asked before we bought 5 machines at extremely inflated prices.
Live and learn.
Before you spend a whack of money on machines you might want to ask yourself if you are considering the business, or just being enamored with the dollar signs these presentations put in your head. Yes, you can make money in the vending business, we did.
But be warned, the people making the big money from that vending business opportunity seminar are the seminar people!

Dear Uncle....
I having been in an unrelated service business (signs) for 30 years, I
enjoy working for myself. Last week, I stumbled onto an opportunity to
buy 20 wall mounted pop machnes, a couple of change machines and a
snack machine, all on local locations and making money. I had no way to estimate
the value without reading your information. I feel much better about my
potential deal and never even thought of growing the business until I
read about (*&%^*&^5*&%*^$#@).

Try to find people who can approve multiple locations when trying to place machines. Property management companies might respresent many apartment complexes. Some business owners have multiple locations. With one "yes" you can secure multiple profit centers.
