Are you looking at buying a "vending machine program"?
Here's the WRONG way to start. Answer an ad in a business opportunity magazine, watch a glossy video tape or attend a vending business opportunity seminar. Listen to a glossy salespersons hype about making money while golfing and sleeping. Be complimented that the business opportunity guys have chosen you for a limited "marketing territory". Gladly overpay too much money for a few average vending machines without doing any sort of comparison shopping. Go into big debt before learning anything about actually operating a vending machine business. Take every word the vending business opportunity salesperson says as gospel and don't question anything. Get VERY disappointed in a few weeks and desperately try to sell your machines to cut your losses. Tell everyone you know that there is no money in the vending business.
Unfortunately, this is what most new vendors do.
Run away from "vending machine programs" and build your business slowly from the ground up, without overpaying for machines.

Dear Uncle....
I having been in an unrelated service business (signs) for 30 years, I
enjoy working for myself. Last week, I stumbled onto an opportunity to
buy 20 wall mounted pop machnes, a couple of change machines and a
snack machine, all on local locations and making money. I had no way to estimate
the value without reading your information. I feel much better about my
potential deal and never even thought of growing the business until I
read about (*&%^*&^5*&%*^$#@).
Thank you for your information.
Respctfully,
Robert Fry

Don't limit your snack machines products to just snacks!
We did well with putting "other" products in based on taking a broader look at the location. For example, toothbrushes (hotel), laundry soap (trucking company), baseball cards (apartment complex), and other personal toiletries. Be creative!
